GENERAL FORWARDING CONDITIONS FOR FREIGHT FORWARDERS IN LITHUANIA (LEBES 2015)
The Lithuanian National Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association LINEKA approved and adopted the General Terms and Conditions of the Lithuanian National Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association (LEBES 2015) (based on the General Terms and Conditions of the Nordic Freight Forwarders' Association NSAB 2000, in force since 1 June 1998) at the XXIIIrd Annual Congress held on 28 May 2015.
On 1 January 2016, the new Nordic Freight Forwarders Association General Conditions NSAB 2015 entered into force.
The terms and conditions of the Lithuanian National Association of Freight Forwarders and Logistics LINEKA (LEBES 2015) were updated accordingly.
The Lithuanian Freight Forwarders' General Conditions of Forwarding (LEBES 2015) set out the rights and obligations of the Freight Forwarders and the Customers, including the Freight Forwarders' liability under the various conventions of the law of transport, such as the CIM, the SMGS, the CMR, the Hague-Visby Rules, the Hamburg Rules, and the Warsaw Convention, as well as any amendments, supplements or protocols to the above-mentioned transport law conventions.
The Lithuanian Freight Forwarders' General Forwarding Conditions (LEBES 2015) apply to members of the Lithuanian National Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association LINEKA as well as to other persons who agree to be bound by these Conditions. This means that the Lithuanian Freight Forwarders' General Forwarding Conditions (LEBES 2015) is a contract which applies to the relationship only if the persons freely accede to and agree to be bound by it;
The application of the Lithuanian Freight Forwarders Common Forwarding Conditions (LEBES 2015) is accepted:
- Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists
- Lithuanian Business Confederation
- Chamber of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania
- Lithuanian National Association of Road Carriers "LINAVA"
- Lithuanian Association of Shiploading Companies
- Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce Industry and Crafts
- AB “Lietuvos geležinkeliai”
