On December 8, 2023, the team of Vilnius College of Technology and Design visited Šiauliai Airport. A group of VTDK representatives were interested in the activities of Šiauliai Airport, inspected the veterinary hangar and admired the Airbus 340 giants standing on the platform. The director of the airport, Aurelija Kuezada, told about the history of the airport's creation and shared information about the implemented and ongoing projects.

Šiauliai Airport is one of the three international airports in Lithuania. It is conveniently located geographically, making it an attractive logistics service provider. Šiauliai airport has the possibility to use the cargo terminal, which is one of the largest in Lithuania. There is also a customs warehouse at the airport, which is one of the largest in the Baltic States.
