On December 15 2023, the participants of the FIATA forwarders training program visited the Vilnius intermodal terminal, which belongs to the Terminal Management and Development Division of AB "LTG Infra". Such a visit is provided for in the FIATA-accredited training program. Training participants got acquainted with terminal operations, container types, gantry crane operation, container loading operations, work features in railway transport. Visited the terminal office premises, warehouse, container loading area.

The Vilnius intermodal terminal is a container logistics railway terminal in the Vilnius district near the Vaidotai railway station, capable of handling up to 100 thousand containers per year. The purpose of the terminal is to reduce the transport of cargo vehicles in the city of Vilnius, to reduce the load on the Klaipėda seaport, and to speed up the transportation of goods to Vilnius. The terminal was officially opened in 2015. The terminal has three railway loading roads, container storage yards, covered warehouses for containers with refrigeration equipment, side ramps for loading wagons and more infrastructure and equipment necessary for the operation of the terminal.
